Oaks and Acorn calsses joined together to listen to each other read. This gave them the opportunity to talk about their chosen book. See how they go on, on our Gallery page

Tree Planting!

We were delighted to welcome membesr of staff from LNER to our school to support us with planting 150 trees in our school grounds. Thank you to LNER for sponsoring our trees and to carbonfootprint.com for providing the trees and organising the event. See pictures on our Gallery page

Children in Need 16 November

The children dressed up in non-uniform as part of fundraising for children in need. They had an afternoon of fun activities.

Outdoor Classroom Day!

We were delighted to join the worldwide celebrations of Outdoor Classroom Day on Thursday 1st November. The children had a fantastic time building shelters, collecting natural materials to create works of art and even building a tree swing! The children exhibited great team work and perseverance, and the day was a big success! See more pictures

Swimming 19 October

The children at Weston St Mary Church of England Primary School have been swimming this term and have all made progress in their swimming.

Harvest Festival 18 October

We had a fantastic time at our Harvest Festival and thoroughly enjoyed the singing, dancing, poems and paintings that were shared by the children.  Thank you to all those who attended and for the generous donations of food, which have been given to our local food bank. See more pictures

Woodland Trust Award!

Woodland Trust Green Tree School Silver AwardWe are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the Green Tree School Silver award from the Woodland Trust! Over the past 6 weeks we have looked to increase pupil’s opportunities to engage with nature, such as making changes to our woodland area and starting a Nature Club. We are looking forward to celebrating outdoor learning further during our Outdoor Classroom Day on 1st November and details on this will follow shortly!
