Science Afternoon

Pirate training has commenced at Weston St Mary! Our children have been investigating materials as part of their work on building pirate ships.  They have been experimenting with floating and sinking, stretching, waterproofing and magnets! See for yourself on our Gallery page

NSPCC visit

As part of the ‘Speak Out Stay Safe’ programme, all of the children at Weston St Mary participated in a session with Alison from the NSPCC and her helper Buddy. Find out more

Reading together

Oaks and Acorn calsses joined together to listen to each other read. This gave them the opportunity to talk about their chosen book. See how they go on, on our Gallery page

Tree Planting!

We were delighted to welcome membesr of staff from LNER to our school to support us with planting 150 trees in our school grounds. Thank you to LNER for sponsoring our trees and to carbonfootprint.com for providing the trees and organising the event. See pictures on our Gallery page

Harvest Festival

We had a fantastic time at our Harvest Festival and thoroughly enjoyed the singing, dancing, poems and paintings that were shared by the children.  Thank you to all those who attended and for the generous donations of food, which have been given to our local food bank. See pictures

Woodland Trust Award!

We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the Green Tree School Silver award from the Woodland Trust! Over the past 6 weeks we have looked to increase pupil’s opportunities to engage with nature, such as making changes to our woodland area and starting a Nature Club.

Macmillan Coffee Morning

Thank you to all those who attended our Macmillan Coffee Morning, and to those who donated cakes.  We received an overwhelming amount of cakes and were even able to hold an additional cake sale after school to raise additional funds.  All in all, we have raised over £60 and are very grateful for people’s generosity. Roald Dahl

We had a fantastic day celebrating Roald Dahl’s birthday by dressing up as our favourite characters from his books.  See more pictures
